Something many people affected have learned: FND is not yet equally well known everywhere. It often helps to look specifically for a specialist or experienced point of contact rather than spending a lot of energy trying to convince people. At the same time, it is worth calmly raising the topic even with less familiar clinicians and pointing them to further information – for example this website or the German AG FNS. The same applies to physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech-and-language therapy, because FND treatment differs from classic approaches.

Services: a detailed initial consultation, a thorough neurological examination, an integrated neuro-psychosomatic assessment, a second opinion and review of previous diagnoses, advice on treatment options, and an individual, multimodal treatment plan (including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-and-language therapy and psychotherapy – out-patient, day-clinic or in-patient), referral into care structures and prescriptions for therapeutic remedies.
Please bring to your first appointment: a referral (neurology and/or psychosomatics), the results of previous investigations – in particular a head MRI (report and images on CD) – and discharge letters from previous stays. Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment and allow around 2 hours.
